Guide

This deck is an old fashioned-unfamous Royal Giant offensive pusher I ran since Royal Giant was crap. I am today around 4300tr.

Basiclly, you have :
 - 2 control spells
 - 2 light polyvalent defensive troops
 - 2 heavy defensive troops on the ground
 - 2 offensive tanks

Openings :

 

 - Royal Giant alone or with Ice Wizard on support coming from the king's tower
 - Hog Rider alone
 - Princess alone to bait The Log
 - Valkyrie + Hog Rider when you feel confident

I never play barbarians as my opening card unless it's defensive. But always start first ;)

Global strategy :

This deck is a classical fun offensive deck to play, by harrassing the opponent with the defensive troops covered by Royal Giant when they arrive at the bridge and run a counter.
Hog as to be as sneaky as possible, when you feel you have a decent elixir advantage.
The 4 defensive troops are polyvalent enough to control most offensives.

Cards use :

Arrow/Zap : no explaination needed.

Princess : I put her on my weak side to bait The Log, arrows or Fire Spirits on the other tower unless I'm attacked on that tower. To sum up, always place her on the side you don't want to be hit or opposite side of barbarians.

Ice Wizard : Main defense on air troops, with princess. Efficient enough to limitate Lava Hound if you manage to lure other incoming troops to the other side. You can use arrows if needed to cover Ice Wizard wich is essential to limitate the Lava Hound hits.
Support against ground attacks (Royal Giant, Hog Rider, P.E.K.K.A, Giant Skeleton)

Valkyrie : Most underestimated card in the game in my opinion, she can defend almost all ground troops perfectly. I use her to counter Barbarians, Elite Barbarians, Gobelins and other troops on cover behind the tank.
She can lure Minions horde and other air troops out if advancing towards the tower with too much HP.
You can place her when the Lava Pups pop to tank.
She also can be used as a tank with a Hog in her back.

Barbarians : I place them in the middle when I can to defend against all heavy ground troops or in front the tower if emergency or Hog/Elite Barbarians incoming quickly. Place at the bridge if Giant Skeleton and cover against Fire Spirits for example.

Royal Giant : Place him as often as possible and cover him with spells, Ice Wizard, Valkyrie.

Hog Rider : As sneaky as possible. I don't cover him so much except by anticipating Skarmy or Minions.

Weakness : 

- Air decks (Balloon in particular)
- High-Elixir decks
